What is a Strategy Call?

A Strategy Call is a paid working session that's deliberately not a sales call. We charge for it because we come prepared, we work hard for the time, and we leave you with something tangible. It's how we do real work to help you solve an urgent challenge in 90 minutes. Direct. Useful. No fluff.

CMOs and senior marketing leaders typically book a Strategy Call when they're working through a specific decision, restructuring a content team, evaluating a GTM plan, scoping a transformation project, or just wanting experienced judgment on a hard call before committing to longer-term work.

How it works

Four steps from booking to next steps.

Pay & submit your homework.

When you book, you'll pay $2,500 via Stripe and tell us what you're working on. Be specific — this is the homework that turns the call into a working session instead of a get-to-know-you.

Pick your time.

After payment, you'll get more information, a calendar link to pick a convenient 90-minute slot, and a request for any other documentation to help us prepare for the call. If a context-setting short phone call is preferred, we can do that as well.

We prep.

We read what you sent. We come prepared. No introductions, no warmup, no walking through your website together — straight into the work.

90 minutes + a deliverable.

We work the question for 90 minutes. Within 48 hours, you get a one-page summary of what we discussed and what we recommend. That's it — no upsells, no follow-on sales pitch. If a longer engagement makes sense, we'll say so. If it doesn't, we'll say that too.

Common questions

What if I need to reschedule?

No problem — we are happy to accommodate changes in schedule.

Will I work with Robert or Cathy?

Depends on the topic you select. Either Robert or Cathy can service most topics, but we'll propose the best (or both of us) resource to address your particular need. And you have the option, of course, to request.

What if 90 minutes isn't enough?

It usually is — Strategy Calls are designed to be substantive in that window. If after the call you want to engage on a longer project, we'll discuss the right shape (typically a Content Operating Model Diagnostic or a Strategic Advisory Retainer). The Strategy Call fee can sometimes be credited against a longer engagement, depending on the project.

Do I really need to prep beforehand?

Yes. The better the homework, the better the call. You'll get much more out of the call if you give us all the information you can, and prep for the questions you really want answered.

Is it really $2,500?
